This April, a 50 strong expedition team will depart the UK to set the World Record for the Highest Game of Twenty20 Cricket, raising money for The Lord's Taverners and The Himalayan Trust. The expedition membersm all aged between 22 and 36, spread across two playing squads of 15 and support crew including medics, journalists, lawyers, photographers, film crew etc. A mix of backgrounds from farmers to brokers, environmentalists to stand up comedians, this is a mix of young and dynamic people pushing boundaries to pursue a creative idea with genuine stand out appeal. read more »

The contract has been signed! At the headquarters of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) in Seon, Switzerland, both partners - EOG and Messe Friedrichshafen - jointly put to paper the future of OutDoor for another five years. According to this agreement, the European trade show will be held in Friedrichshafen at least until the year 2013. During a secret ballot in January, 2008, the majority of the 47 EOG members voted in favour of the venue at Friedrichshafen. read more »

Technically... Spring has Sprung, it's now light when I leave for work in the morning and when I get home at night, wonderful. To me that means Summer, but then I only believe in 2 seasons; Summer and Winter. That's need-a-coat and don't-need-a-coat weather. Walk-briskly-on-the-beach and stroll-on-the-beach weather.
So having neglected my body horrendously over the past few (12) months, I vow to get back into shape to a point where a short weekend hike won't need 2 weeks annual leave immediately afterwards to recover. So back in the gym I go. read more »
