Eurasia Pedibus Calcantibus - Number 27

EURASIA PEDIBUS CALCANTIBUS gets its 1ST BIRTHDAY!!! The start-date seems only yesterday, so far, yet so near. Emotions are neverending and inexpressible at the same time. Memories fill the pages of a book that only wait a publisher :) Places, people, colours, flavours. I have walked through the present and history, I continue to move towards the future. 6000 kms, from sea level to mountains full of snow, across 9 nations and various, wonderful cultures. I wanted to celebrate crossing another border line: from Turkey, land of hospitality, to Iran, cradle of monotheism. Instead I'm waiting in Erzurum for 15 days because of whimsy of Iranian Bureaucracy

Thanks for the love I receive from those who travel with me from their own homes!

The Project: To go on foot, "pedibus calcantibus", from Italy to Japan and back, going through 26 nations of Eurasia (Europe and Asia), in 5 years and covering 40.500 kilometres.

About Marino Curnis

Biography

Marino Curnis had an idea: to spend time walking around the planet, simply savouring people, places, flavours, smells and events that make it so unbelievably attractive. To fulfil a kid's dream, inspired by the ancient Silk Route, by the great Explorers, such as the world famous Marco Polo and by the route of an ancient conqueror, Alexander the Great. His aim is to send out a messagge about Peace and Solidarity for difference.
