The end.
Up at 8am for breakfast at the Mountain Inn followed by an early morning game drive safari to the Arusha National Park.
Slept through most of the Safari after finally being hit by the tummy bug! read more »
We were up at 7am to depart at 8am and it was still pouring and cold. read more »
Then it begins. Just after midnight we start the 6.5h hour walk to the summit. My whole world during those six hours and a half hours was the square metre around my feet. read more »

Not a rest day. The fire has cut off access to our water source so we have to move straight on to Kibo. read more »

After a breakfast of porridge, toast and tea we set off around 8:30am. That’s the last time I will eat for 3 days. read more »
